  • Blood Sugar Regulation

Together with the pancreas, the liver regulates your blood sugar level and is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

  • Detoxification & Protection

Your liver takes care of detoxifying medications, alcohol, and toxins – it is your body's central protective organ against harmful substances.

  • Hormone & Protein Production

The liver produces important hormones such as cholesterol, proteins, and bile acid – substances that are indispensable for numerous bodily functions.

  • Fat Content & Limits

The fat content of the liver is normally below 5%. From 5.5% upwards, it is referred to as fatty liver. The prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) in German-speaking countries is 45%.

  • No medication available

There are currently no medications to treat fatty liver disease. The only effective therapy is a targeted dietary change combined with more exercise.

  • Reversible & Curable

The good news: a fatty liver is completely reversible in its early stages. With the right measures – like Optimize Liver Fasting – the liver can regenerate itself.

What is a fatty liver?

In fatty liver disease, liver cells accumulate excessive fat, primarily triglycerides. Depending on the severity, a distinction is made between a mild, moderate, and severe form. In the severe form, more than two-thirds of the liver cells are affected.

Severity Affected liver cells Assessment
Mild 5 - 33% Early stage, highly treatable
Moderate 33 – 66% Treatment strongly recommended
Difficult > 66% More than 2/3 of the liver cells affected

Overweight and lack of exercise are the main causes. So-called "apple shapes" with an accumulation of fat in the abdominal area (visceral fat) are particularly at risk.

  • Carbohydrate surplus

Starchy foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, and sweets provide readily available energy. If more is consumed than expended, the excess sugars are converted into fat and stored in the liver.

  • Lack of exercise

If you exercise little, you consume less energy. The sugar stores in muscles and liver are permanently full – further sugar cannot be utilized and is converted into fat.

  • Overweight & visceral fat

Abdominal fat (visceral fat) in particular is directly linked to fatty liver disease. So-called "apple types" are particularly at risk.

  • Sustained positive energy balance

Those who consume more energy than they expend each day not only gain weight – over time, fat and muscle cells also become obese, which puts a lasting strain on the metabolism.

Calorie reduction leads to a significant decrease in liver fat and insulin resistance after just a few days, which improves overall carbohydrate metabolism in the long term.

What helps with fatty liver?

The best, most effective, and simplest measure to detox your liver is a short-term, significant reduction in your daily calorie intake. If you only supply your body with a few calories, it automatically draws on its reserves.

In doing so, it first uses the fat reserves in your liver. Fat is gradually broken down and burned. At the same time, your blood sugar and fat metabolism improve.

  • 1

    3x daily go-Optimize-Drink

You cover all 3 main meals with the go-Optimize drink. Your body thus switches from carbohydrate to fat oxidation.

  • 2

    Vegetables as a side dish

You'll boost 2 out of your 3 meals with starch-free vegetables – steamed, as soup, salad, or raw food. Maximum 200 kcal of vegetables per day.

  • 3

    4–6 hours break

There are 4 to 6 hours between the 3 main meals, during which you eat nothing – only drink plenty of fluids. This keeps insulin levels low.

Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD)

During the 16-day fasting cure, you will consume a maximum of 800-1,000 calories daily. Limiting carbohydrate intake to less than 60g per day leads to a significant reduction in liver fat and insulin resistance after just a few days.

Although the focus is not on maximum weight loss, you will still lose between 2 and 5 kg of weight. In addition, your metabolism will be activated, and your belly fat and waist circumference will decrease.

The Result: What you can expect

About 2 to 3 weeks after completing the Optimize liver cleanse, you can look forward to the following positive effects:

A crucial step toward sustainably improving your metabolism.
